Winsford Walled Garden
Listing Details
Winsford Walled Garden was a forgotten ruin until its rediscovery in 1999. This harmonious summer garden flows well beyond the original Victorian walls in a blaze of colour. The original walled garden with its 14ft high walls was, and always has been, a summer flower garden. A discovery that was only confirmed three years after the present owners had already decided to veer away from the ubiquitous walled vegetable garden to create a walled flower garden.
Visit the garden for a few hours, or make use of our central location in Devon close to the South West's main road artery (A30) to stay longer as a guest in our Garden Bed & Breakfast accommodation within the walls. Whichever you decide, you can be sure of a warm welcome from Aileen, Michael and Tanya.
