I am David Moorley, the owner of Virworthy Fine Furniture. After 30 years, in the chemical industry as a chemical engineer and project manager, I took the opportunity to retrain. I had always enjoyed working with wood as a hobby so the choice of a second career was an easy one.

Before setting up my own workshop on the border between North Devon and Cornwall, I spent a year training and honing my skills with Michael Scott, a well established and respected maker of fine furniture.

My aim is to hand craft for you a unique piece of personal furniture that will capture those elusive qualities you don't find in mass produced pieces.

I prefer to work using traditional methods and tools and to use hardwoods from sustainable sources.
