Neil Jeffers is the resident artist at The Little Gallery on the Farm at Southcombe Farm, Shebbear. Neil explains what influences his paintings.

The inspiration for my work comes firstly from the constantly changing patterns of nature. The other influences on my work are ancient history and civilisations in particular, The Celts, Sumerians, Assyrian, Egyptian, Indian, African and the South and Central American cultures Maya, Olmec and Tolmec. This in turn leads to the great religions, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, Jewish (Caballa), Hindu. My work is a combination of all the above and a universal language of colour and symbol links them all.
