Lizzy's Larder at Blackberry Farm

Real food from a real farm shop!
My husband Mike and I moved here in 1998 and in 2002 I opened Lizzy’s Larder because I was finding it hard to get local, high quality, traceable produce. So I tidied out the original meat larder by the farmhouse, made some cakes & preserves, picked some vegetables from the garden and invited local people to bring their goods to sell or barter. This little market was open for 2 hours every Saturday morning. It was so successful that the shop inevitably expanded and Lizzy's Larder was born.
Now many local people supply my shop with a comprehensive range from cakes to crafts. The shop soon proved too small and we needed to expand. We weren't able to expand at Milton Mill and so built a new shop at the other end of the farm which we opened in October 2006.
